Chemical Industries are the prime factors to convert the raw materials into desired products that we use in our day-to-day life. The chemical industry can also be described simply as "the industry that uses chemistry and manufactures chemicals ", this definition isn't altogether satisfactory because it leaves open the question of what is chemical. Definitions that are adopted for statistical economic purposes vary from country to country. What does the chemical industry produce ? The products of the industry are often divided into three categories: Basic chemicals Specialty chemicals Consumer chemicals Basic chemicals are a broad chemical category industry that incorporates polymers, bulk petrochemicals, intermediates, derivatives, and basic industrials, inorganic chemicals and fertilizers or pesticides.
