Sodium hypochlorite, commonly known as bleach, is most frequently used as a disinfecting agent. Sodium hypochlorite appears as colorless or slightly yellow watery liquid with an odor of household bleach. 

Studies have shown that Sodium hypochlorite is a highly effective disinfectant that has wide ranging applications.
